We’ve upgraded a key piece of equipment

One of the things we hear people saying they like least about visiting the dentist is the poking and prodding, so we always try to keep that to a minimum (although some poking and prodding is unavoidable).

These days, we can do many things with less discomfort for you, and often with less time in the chair. For example, we can now take far more accurate digital images and even create accurate simulation videos, which means less time for you with your mouth open and us looking inside!

Every advance in technology really helps us do our job more efficiently and with less potential for inconvenience or discomfort for our patients.

The prime example is the TRIOS intraoral scanner, which we’ve had at Middleborough Dental Care for quite a few years. We’ve recently upgraded this to the latest TRIOS 5 model, which provides faster, more accurate digital 3D scans.

The TRIOS 5 intraoral scanner also enables us to gather a lot more information about your oral health that can be used to assess whether any other treatment or care may be required.

A better process and outcome for you

Faster and more accurate digital scans are a great start, but another big advantage of using the intraoral scanner – and one that impacts directly on patient care – is that the appliances we provide fit you better.

The fact that we can share the digital images or simulation videos via email, Facebook, and WeChat messages also helps make things simpler and less time-consuming for you, and the entire process is streamlined.

Because we can show you the predicted results of treatment, such as clear aligners, braces, and veneers, it tends to give even the most nervous patients the peace of mind and comfort that we’re always looking to give you before any treatment.

Our commitment to continuous improvement has been recognised

Did you know that dentists in Australia must complete a minimum number of hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain our registration and accreditation?

That’s something the Middleborough Dental Care team takes very seriously, not because it’s mandated, but because it’s important to us to know that we’re doing the best for our patients. That includes staying up to date with all the latest techniques, technology, and global studies.

We were recently awarded full accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards.

Achieving accreditation is a significant milestone and reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous quality improvement and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

We continue to focus on family-friendly service and care

While we’ll always look to improve our equipment, training, and level of service, one thing that will never change is our focus on making all our patients as comfortable as possible.

Our entire team has a focus on keeping the experience of visiting the dentist as stress-free as possible, particularly for our younger patients – although we understand there is no age limit to dental anxiety.
